It’s October 31st and we’re in Las Vegas. After our long road trip we slept in for the day. Getting motivated for the day took until about 4:00 when we went off to McCarren Airport to pick up a friend. We dropped him off at Planet Hollywood, and from there we wandered to Imperial Palace to see the Auto Collection.
The Auto Collection is a rotation collection of 300 collector cars, all of which are available for purchase. Being an avid rally fan my favorite cars were the RS200’s, Lancia Rally 037 Martini Race Car and an MG Metro 6R4. Walking around we found a wide variety of cars from: Jaguar XJ220, Rolls Royce, Volkswagen Bug, Lamborghini and more. It is a great collection in one location and definitely worth going to checkout.
After checking out the car collection, we traveled the strip until we needed to pick up our “Polar Bear from Eugene” Sarah Carter. Halloween in Vegas, on the strip, is definitely a sight to see. We briefly caught the Bellagio water show and walked the strip for hours, catching up with friends along the way. At one point, I was caught “planking” behind a passed out “gentleman” outside O’Shea’s. Heard in the background mid-plank someone noted “Its okay he’s planking.” Standing up I noticed 3 cops and a film crew walking towards me. I jumped out of the way as the TruTV show “Vegas Strip” walked up and started “helping” the gentleman I had just planked behind. Oops – and here I thought it was just another Vegas group in Halloween costumes.
The rest of the evening was spent at Carnival near Harrah’s Casino until 3:30 a.m. when it was time to head to the hotel and get ready for our big day ahead!
See you at SEMA! – Eric Gearhart (and friends)
