It has become a regular stop for some past rally world champions, such as Juha Kankkunen, Miki Biasion, Hannu Mikkola, Timo Salonen, Marcus Grönholm and others.
Range of cars includes WRC’s group B cars like Lancia Stratos, this year marks the 40th anniversary from the introduction, Lancia Delta and 037, Audi Quattro and Sportquattro, Opel Ascona and Manta 400, Toyota Celica ST, Talbot Lotus, Ford Escort and many more.
This year marks the 25th anniversary from the tragic accident of Henri Toivonen on Tour de Corse Rally and his brother Harri drove ex-Henri’s Opel Manta 400 to honour the memory of the young talented driver, who is still an inspiration to many.
It is almost impossible to translate a weekend of action into a single clip as I believe you have to experience it for yourself. However, I hope you get the ‘picture’ of the event thru the video. Enjoy!
