The tenth year of the premiere drift series in the United States comes to a close each year in Irwindale. The House of Drift. A driver favorite, the Irwindale walls are unforgiving and this year saw plenty of action not only on the notorious “inner” wall, but the outside wall, and nearly every other hard surface in the joint, as well. Drivers who had been mathematically eliminated from the top tier on the season-ending podium, definitely let it all hang out and it was clear some had nothing to lose, and plenty of free time in the off-season to repair whatever damage might be done to their vehicle on this day.
Standing room only, the House of Drift fans were not disappointed with the action this weekend, and I’m sure most were already waiting with great anticipation, for a new season to get kicked off next spring. As excited as I was for the incredible display being put on in front of me, I couldn’t help but be a little sad that the season was already over.
Here are my favorite action shots from the weekend. As always, please be sure to check out the full gallery at the end of this post. And if you like what you see, don’t forget to share it with your friends!
