Every once in a while, MotoGP superstar Valentino Rossi, reminds world that he’s just as competent racing with cars, as he does with motorcycles. After dabbling with Formula 1 and impressive showings in the WRC, Rossi tried his hand with Joe Gibbs Racing’s Toyota Camry Stock Car, last week at Charlotte Motor Speedway in North Carolina. Not just any car, mind you but the one driven by fellow Monster Energy Drink-sponsored driver, Kyle Busch.
Busch has been extremely successful with this car in the NASCAR Nationwide Series so far this year, and seemed hesitant about handing his baby over to Rossi. However, it soon became clear that The Doctor was in and ready to show off what he could do.
Here’s an onboard video from NASCAR and you can see that Rossi wasn’t afraid to take the Gen 6 Toyota, up on the high side. Usually first-time drivers have trepidation about getting close to the wall but Rossi handled it like a pro. Maybe when he decides to make the jump from two wheels to four, it just might be into a stock car?
