This year marked my fourth year at the Pikes Peak International Hill Climb. It’s a photographers dream…awesome cars, cool trucks, fast bikes and more, all racing towards the summit at 14,110 feet above sea level. Each racer hoping to not only record the fastest time but to conquer the hill, with her ever changing conditions.

Don’t Tell Me I Can’t – Part III: The Re-Birth of a Race Car
Additions. Travis Tollett and I have been friends since we first met in 2004. His Dad, Mike (“Doc”; he’s an ER doctor) has been competing at Pikes Peak for years now on an ATV; and Travis would start competing there in 2005, also on ATV’s. Travis has been racing since he was three and has
Pikes Peak: Telling the Story
Pikes Peak has been a bit of a dream of mine since I was pretty young. My parents don’t remember me being that into motorsports as a kid and I can say that is definitely the case. However I remember sitting in front of the TV in the back room of our house and seeing

Fender to fender rally cars, traveling at ridiculous speeds through a narrow, twisting course with big jumps thrown in for good measure. Yup…that ought to do it. And
PPIHC 2011 Practice is My Life at Speed
Crossing through the entry gate and ascending up Pikes Peak Toll Road at 4am for the first time, I knew it was real. I knew I was actually here for an amazing event I have only watched on TV and online. As we climbed up the mountain road towards our photo spot of the day,
