You never get over it – The Classic TT

With the demise of other legendary events and circuits, the TT Races stand as the last of the great motor-sporting tests in the world today. Remaining largely untouched since 1911, the 37¾ miles of public roads have played host to some of the greatest motorcycle races and riders of all time. From Mike Hailwood’s epic duels with Giacomo Agostini and Phil Read, to the record-breaking rides by Geoff Duke, Mick Grant and Joey Dunlop, the TT simply reverberates with special memories.
“It’s a natural road track, first used for racing purposes in 1947, and very much beloved by all the pilots because it is, illiterately in any possible way, made for the classic motorcycle.”

So what better place could there be to turn back the clock to the golden age of motorcycling and relive the sights, sounds and smells of classic racing than the Isle of Man? The Classic TT celebrates the history and heritage of the TT and motorcycle racing, offering four action-packed days of motorcycling nostalgia. Including the world’s most prestigious classic motorcycle races, the Classic TT will boast the best road racers on the planet riding the most exotic and iconic motorcycles. Here is a short documentary about the Classic TT that was held in Gedinne on August 24 and 25, 2013.

My Life at Speed Co-Founder and Chief Operating Officer, Chris Nazarenus, had a chance meeting with key executives at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway in 1998. It would be the "Jerry McGuire" moment that would change her life forever. Although she knew nothing about motorsports at that time, the chance meeting would influence her passion for all things fast, great stories and interesting people. That's what you will find here at My Life at Speed.
