It’s the night before the Rolex 24 – one of the crown jewels of endurance racing but what exactly is it? This 2014 GT Channel video seeks to answer that question through exclusive interviews with the BMW Racing Team. For more GT channel content, download their free iPhone app: http://bit.ly/1xXCAKX

All day long race teams would have been steeped in last minute preparations on the cars to make sure everything is perfect. Drivers obsessively rehearsed seat changes in the cars because every second gained or lost during pit stops is crucial. Eventually they’ll have to step away for rest because the marathon session begins tomorrow afternoon. For twenty-four hours straight, crews will catch whatever rest they can between pit stops and possibly repair mechanical failures on the cars. Those whose jobs are behind the steering wheel watch teammates on screens in the pit and real-time telemetry while waiting until their turn comes. Months of hard work, training and preparation has all led to his. This is what they live for.

Those who can’t make it to Daytona International Speedway can enjoy every moment of the race live on IMSA.com, Fox Sports 1 and 2. Here is the broadcast schedule from January 24, 2015 to January 25, 2015 (all times EST):
