Audi won the day at the 24 Hours of Le Mans again but it wasn’t smooth sailing at all! During free practice, the #1 car was demolished in an accident that sent Loic Duval to the hospital. He is recovering and the car was rebuilt in time for the race, with Marc Gene taking his place. When the rains came on race day, an accident claimed the #3 R18 e-tron quattro. Thankfully no one was seriously injured. During the race, Audi had their hands full trying to eclipse pole-winner Toyota, and a plucky effort from Porsche. Still it was a 1-2 win for the German team and their legacy remains intact.
