Old School – La Bresse World Cup
Vimeo Description: Untouched natural terrain, displaced rocks, narrow trails and steep paths: La Bresse can be considered an old school track, as the track designer Remy also admits. After every run the riders find themselves having to deal with a completely new track. The rain during the night before the race does the rest. Some of the good lines riders had found during practice and qualifying have become unusable on Sunday when plenty of mud and a bright sunshine creates the perfect mix for spectators to enjoy a downhill race.
A lot of people are there to watch the best riders in the world fight for the win. Greg Minnaar wins the race and Aaron Gwin wins the overall World Cup one race before the end of the season. Last but not least, Fabien Barel announces his retirement just after the awards ceremony. What an awesome day was Sunday!
Thank you Fabien for the unforgettable years of racing, you are a true inspiration for down-hiller moutain bike riders of all over the world.
