Watch Cody Townsend navigate ‘most insane ski line EVER’

Dangerous doesn’t begin to describe professional skier Cody Townsend‘s plunge down a narrow, near-vertical chute in Alaska’s Tordrillo Mountains.

Watch Townsend’s heart-stopping stunt in a clip from the Red Bull documentary “Days Of My Youth.”

Said Townsend: “That’s the scariest thing I’ve ever done.”

Heck, that’s one of the scariest things we’ve ever watched.

The footage comes from Matchstick Productions’ Days of My Youth, and this line won a big award from Powder Magazine.

Townsend told the Daily News that the chute was around five to six feet wide at its narrowest, leaving little room for error.

It takes him just 30 seconds to complete the steep course.

There is apparently no official name for either the peak or the chute which Townsend tackled

My Life at Speed Co-Founder and Chief Operating Officer, Chris Nazarenus, had a chance meeting with key executives at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway in 1998. It would be the "Jerry McGuire" moment that would change her life forever. Although she knew nothing about motorsports at that time, the chance meeting would influence her passion for all things fast, great stories and interesting people. That's what you will find here at My Life at Speed.
