Competition day was finally here, and it did not disappoint. Plenty of close action, including a record number of “one more times” all the way through to the final. A few competitors dodged the proverbial bullet today, including your eventual winner, Fredric Aasbo, who went one more time against Ryan Tuerck. Tuerck was literally just feet away from the win when apparently his diff broke and was unable to repair it during his competition time out. So close, but so incredibly far away. A remarkable competition and show this weekend. All of these competitors definitely deserve a huge round of applause for leaving everything on the track – sometimes even parts – every single round.
We’ll have a complete wrap up of the weekend’s competition later this week, so stay tuned for that. In the meantime, here are some of my favorite photos from today.
