One last practice session this morning before Qualifying took place late this afternoon.  Not everyone had an easy time of it this morning, as evidenced by the enormous cloud of dirt raised by the No. 33 Riley Motorsports SRT Viper GT3-R.  A handful of others also managed the occasional dirt drop, but with much less spectacular results.

Conditions here at Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca couldn’t have been much better today.  A light breeze off the bay did it’s part to keep the fans relatively cool, but the bright sunshine would mean high cockpit temps for the drivers.

Here are the qualifying results for the 2015 running of the Continental Tire Monterrey Grand Prix powered by Mazda:

Here are some of my favorite photos from Saturdays action:

I've been around some form of racing since I was a kid. First hanging around Ascot in Southern California. Then, after moving to Texas as a teen, I got hooked on drag racing and did that for almost fifteen years. In between I have raced Dirt bikes and Quads. 2011 Marked my 8th and final year racing up Pikes Peak: Five in the Pro Quad division and three in Time Attack. Future racing plans are in the works, but until then I'm at the track shooting for My Life at Speed as much as I possibly can.
