From 1970 to 1980, the Ontario Motor Speedway was home to the California 500, a race that was considered to be a “mock run” of the Indy 500. Winners included Bobby Unser, Al Unser and Wally Dallenbach Sr. This is vintage footage of the 1975 race which was won by A.J. Foyt. Over the course of his illustrious career, Foyt has won the 24 Hours of Le Mans, Daytona 500, 24 Hours of Daytona and a record 67 IndyCar races including the Indy 500 four times.
