On October 22nd, Jay Reichert of R&D Motorsports set out to set the land speed record in a Trophy Truck. The R&D crew embarked to Laguna Salada dry lake bed 19 miles outside of Mexicali, Baja California. Reichert took the #26 Trophy Truck, aka “The War Machine,” to the limits, reaching a maximum speed of 136 mph across the flat landscape and set a new Trophy Truck land speed world record.
