Rally Cars Take Over Bronte, Trinidad

Caribbean islands aren’t just about sea and sand. Countries like my homeland of Trinidad and Tobago have lush tropical forests and countryside as well. For many years, the naturally undulating topography was perfect for sugar cane plantations and estate cultivation. Little villages like Bronte in South Trinidad were a part of that industry. However, the government has now turned to oil and gas to fuel the nation’s economy. So what does that mean for the gently rolling hills of little Bronte? The Trinidad and Tobago Rally Club has an idea and we like it!

The TTRC uses Bronte for a stage in their annual rallies. Enthusiasts from all over the Caribbean participate while fans brave the mud and flying gravel, to see their favorite cars slide around in the mud. Here are some sights and sounds from this year’s event and we hope that you add one of these rallies in the islands to your motorsports calendar.
