After a four week hiatus, Top Gear USA comes roaring back to our TV screens tonight with motorcycle power, as the boys head to the Sturgis Bike Week. Tanner Foust will be on a 2013 Harley Davidson V-Rod Muscle. Another Harley, this time a 2013 Street Glide will be piloted by Rutledge Wood. While Adam Ferrara will be on a 2007 Suzuki LS650 Savage / S40 Boulevard with Sidecar.
“The Top Gear hosts embark on a two-wheel road trip through South Dakota to the world’s largest automotive event, the annual Sturgis Bike Week. Starting out on scooters and needing to pass challenges to progress to the bigger bikes they’ll need to ride to fit in at the rally, the hosts go through hell as they close in on Sturgis. The winner will race a super-charged Ariel Atom against a 200 mph sports bike, while the loser will have to take part in a stunt, courtesy of HISTORY channel’s newest series, American Daredevils.” – BBC Worldwide
We’ve seen Tanner riding a Ducati motorcycle but what about the other guys? Rutledge was a passenger with Kyle Petty for the Charity Ride Across America last year, but can the big man ride? Then there’s our good friend Adam, whose motorcycle-riding skills are completely unknown. Is that sidecar doing the same job as a pair training wheels? Hmm…guess we’ll have to watch tonight to find out.
Here are a couple behind-the-scenes videos from History Channel:
The episode premieres tonight (October 22, 2013) at 9:00pm EDT and will repeat at 1:00am. Even if you miss it, the episode will be available on History Channel’s website; and for purchase on iTunes and Amazon. We invite you to follow us on Twitter, as we’ll be live-tweeting the East Coast premiere with cast and fans. It’s a lot of fun. See you then!
