My Past Weekend – Pavement is Fun. Unless You Go Down. GT

So in testing yesterday (Saturday – February 12, 2011) I crashed (click on the link for video or above) at about 140 miles per hour. Face first into the concrete, followed by rag dolling down the race track. When I first hit the ground it bounced me off my face end over end. When I was in the air my first thought was, “I cannot believe that I did not get knocked out!” One of the hardest hits I have taken. I have to say that I really, really appreciate this helmet. It is without a doubt the best helmet I have ever worn. Unfortunately my one of a kind beautiful Troy Lee paint job has now seen better days. Thanks Shoei, I was able to get out of bed and limp down stairs to play with the kids. Please get one of these if you do not already have one, it may save your life! GT

UPDATE – 2.18.11 – That crash was a big one.  Big enough to have me take notice.  I have felt the effects of stiff, sore muscles all week as I had to prepare for my “day job” as a professional stuntman.  It has been a busy week and I can’t call in sick.  Luckily, I had enough time to be back in action for a Honda Commercial in Florida.  I am back in LA tonight, hanging out with my wife and kids.  I fly to Las Vegas tomorrow for another stunt project, back home on Sunday and have a crazy week starting Monday and working all night for the next four nights.  Busy for sure, but I wouldn’t have it any other way.
I am going to be posting more updates, photos and videos of My Life at Speed and all of the great stuff I find that inspires me on a daily basis.
