Pikes Peak International Hill Climb favorite, Mike Ryan, surprised everyone at technical inspection with an impromptu hooning around a set up course showing the crowd that a big rig can certainly do donuts!! Mike Ryan’s semi truck definitely shows everyone that size matters.
From Mike Ryan,
“We passed tech yesterday in style by drifting the Banks Power, Top 1 Oil, Freightliner Pikes Peak Special on their autocross course. Banks Power has made major improvements to the truck including: the addition of an 8.3 Liter Super Charger to complete his new Super-Turbo product line that was originally developed for the Navy Seal fast attack boats. Our truck is the first vehicle that the public will see with this technology. Also new to the engine is the Banks 2-stage direct port injected water-methanol system and brake cooling system. Top 1 Oil has developed a 5W40 Diesel Engine oil that by viscosity alone reduced frictional loss, helping to make more horsepower. In addition, New Howe Trophy Truck steering and custom Michelin tires promise to make this a record shattering truck!”
