The final qualifying round of the 2013/2014 KDF competition series is in the books. The spring-like weather made for a pleasant afternoon of grassroots drifting at Thunderhill Raceway. As usual, the competition was pretty tight, and the guys who came out to compete left everything on the skid pad. Including tire debris and the occasional spare part or puddle of fluids. This was the final chance to qualify for the finals, coming up in February, so nothing was left to chance. There were more wall scrapes and near dirt drops than we’ve seen in the previous rounds, and drivers were exceptionally aggressive in their lines and transitions. All in all, a pretty darn good day.
