(Colorado Springs, CO) – Dallenbach Racing sponsored by Famous Dave’s of Colorado Springs, Alpine Bank, BRM, and Hoosier Racing Tires is pleased to announce the completion of the first round of tire testing for this year’s Pikes Peak International Hill Climb. Paul Dallenbach had a successful two days of testing on America’s Mountain, with no major incidents either day.

Saturday, June 6th took the team to the bottom section, running from the Start Line to just below the Ski Area. The team made 4 of the 5 runs with times improving each attempt. Paul finished the morning off with an overall best-run time of 3:05:00.

Sunday moved the team up the mountain, running from the Ski Area to Double Cut. Paul made 6 out of the 8 runs completed. Once again claiming the overall best-run time with a 2:14:68.

“The team made many changes over the winter to the rear suspension of the car and the car felt really good during our 2 days test. We also have a new motor and the car is 48 lbs. lighter than last year,” stated Dallenbach when asked about the car. “We had no issues and just made runs. Half the battle when you race once or twice a year is just building your confidence. Each run we went faster, so I am looking forward to getting up there with all the cars to see where we stand.”

Peak Week begins on June 22, 2015 with Tech Inspection at the World Arena in Colorado Springs, CO with the first round of practice beginning bright and early on June 23, 2015. Paul’s next time on the mountain will be this Friday, June 12, 2015 for a private test session.
