Sunoco has NASCAR’s biggest stars in their “If I had a nickel…” Ads

Last year Sunoco had two very funny commercials featuring NASCAR stars like Greg Biffle, Matt Kenseth, Joey Logano, Martin Truex Jr., Mark Martin, Michael Waltrip and Kurt Busch among others. Wait, Kurt Busch was in a funny commercial? Oh yes, the outlaw can make a joke. With the new season only days away from commencement, the fuel company has struck again with two ads that feature even more star drivers like Jimmie Johnson, Clint Bowyer, Juan Pablo Montoya, Kyle Busch, Kasey Kahne, Elliot Sadler and the prince of NASCAR himself, Dale Earnhardt Jr.

Also featured are SPEED channel favourites like Kenny Wallace and Larry McReynolds. Oh, and let’s not forget the best part of these ads which is the surprising comedy chops of the toughest guys on the track: the pit crews! This time around Jimmie Johnson’s Crew Chief, Chad Knaus had a speaking role. To me it looks like Johnson and Bowyer’s crews were trying to outdo each other. Maybe next time, Jeff Gordon’s crew can get in on the action…if they can all behave. (wink!) Tell us My Life at Speeders, which do you like best?
