VOTE for My Life at Speed’s MITCH SNOWJOB to Send Him to the Octane Academy!!

Like many others, our own Mitch Snow saw the ads for the Octane Academy during this year’s X Games and applied.  He has been up on the website for a week and is already in the top 75 for Most Views, and Most “Fames” (Similar to a like on facebook). Let’s see what our readers can do to get, both him and MyLife@Speed to the Octane Academy.

Mitch Snowjob back in the seat?!
Born and raised in Colorado Springs, Colorado but go to school in Fort Collins, Colorado at Colorado State University (CSU).  I’m a sophomore studying both journalism and communications to become a sports broadcaster post graduation.  I’m currently an intern at KKTV 11 News in the sports department, a writer at www.MyLifeAtSpeed.com, and an undergraduate member of Sigma Phi Epsilon.  At KKTV I have covered the Pikes Peak International Hill Climb (PPIHC) and was even able to convince the guys to cover the Global Rallycross (GRC) race at Pikes Peak International Raceway. I have attended the PPIHC every year since I was 4 (1995) and really can’t find any event that I love more. At MyLife@Speed I have covered everything from Monster Tajima breaking the 10 minute barrier to Nate Conley breaking his back three years ago and making a comeback to race at X Games this year in LA.

I’m a third generation racer.  It all started with my grandpa when he bought a car and started a race team out of his auto shop here in Colorado Springs.  That lead to my dad racing motocross and later a mini-sprint. In 1990 he actually became the first mini-sprint to ever to race up Pikes Peak.  Then came my brother and I when we both started racing 125cc Rotax Karts.  We were both pretty equal but I had to leave the sport during my sophomore year of high school to focus on baseball, my goal was to play in college.  After a bunch of hard work I was able to reach my goal and play freshmen year at CSU, but I have since left the sport to focus on my academics.

Ever since that day I left karting I have wondered “what if”.

My little brother kept with it and was able to have a lot of success.  He moved into an IMCA Modified car and had his first main event win just a week before his 16th birthday.  He has even been able to make a NASCAR development program out in California (The Ron Sutton’s Winners Circle).  All of this makes me wonder what if even more, I want to get back in the drivers seat, actually do what I want to cover for the rest of my life!

Please Octane Academy, let me show you what this journalist, frat boy can do!  For those of you that love My Life at Speed, please click on the link to vote for me, Mitch Snowjob!

Thanks!
