Audi seems to have been preparing a surprise for us, as the automotive producer recently used social media to release a Pikes Peak related teaser image, that shows a two paint job Audi RS5. The car maker only released the one image, without offering any details. However, we’re expecting Audi to give us some extra details over the next few days as the Pikes Peak International Hill Climb is scheduled to run this upcoming Sunday, August 12th.
Walter Rohl had planned to return to Pikes Peak behind the wheel of the the original Pikes Peak Audi Sport Quattro S1, but unfortunately the postponement date due to the Waldo Canyon Fires did not work into his schedule. The original Audi that Rohl set a Pikes Peak record 25 years ago, and now that Pikes Peak is completely paved – Rohl’s record will remain in the history books forever.
