NHRA Northwest Nationals
This was my first NHRA event and what better spot to be standing than right on the lines near the tree. There’s something to be said about an 8,000 horsepower Top Fuel Dragster roaring past you attempting to break a 4 second 1/4 mile. And what a fantastic venue, Pacific Raceways, for the event. Check out their site, tickets are still available for Sunday, August 7th.
What’s so cool about working with My Life at Speed is that I am experiencing everything from traversing up a 14,000 foot peak (Pikes Peak), to the X Games last weekend, Formula Drift, Global Rallycross and now, finally a Top Fuel NHRA event. I even got to see, in person, one of my idols – John Force.
I am lucky – I get to capture what happens at Speed, for all of you to see. More images from the event and I hope you like the gallery I added from today. – Eric Gearhart
John Force making an appearance on track after Robert Hight blew a tire.
Just the sheer amount of fuel these powerful engines make is incredible.
