A Lot of Happy Children: NW Toy Run

I’ve had the opportunity to help promote and make vinyl decals for the NW Toy Run the last few years.  I’ve been in attendance since 2006 and have yet to miss a year.  This year thanks to 1000’s of cars from all over the northwest, over $4,100 and 6000 toys were donated to the Toys for Tots.

The Toy Run started out in 2004 and used to be a small group of cars that would meet up and drive to a designated location to donate toys.  Since then the event has grown tremendously.  Three years back the run went from Federal Way, Washington to Olympia.  With over 600 cars, driving down I-5 arriving congesting the exit into Olympia it was decided, the event had reached capacity and a new location was needed.  Thanks to Pacific Raceways, the Northwest Toy Run found a new location.

All in all, the Toy Run is a huge success and has been growing considerably every year.  Thanks to all the automotive enthusiasts in the Northwest who have graciously donating time, money and toys to make a child’s Christmas, this year and years to come!

My two favorite hobbies cars and cameras has melded into a passion for automotive photography. Starting off photographing Rally in the Pacific Northwest has led me to many other styles of racing: mud bog, tough trucks, Redline Time Attack, AutoX and more. Anything with a motor and at speed is where I enjoy being.
