The Crandon International Off-Road Raceway in Wisconsin has hosted the annual World Championship Off-Road Races since 1970.  It’s a fuel and mud-soaked extravaganza for racing fans who love to smell fuel and dodge flying mud chunks.  Trophy trucks and buggies bomb around the 1.5 mile track at high speeds, sometimes going airborne.  Last month it was announced that the raceway will be exclusive home of the TORC Championship.  2014 will mark the 45th anniversary of the track that is regarded as the “birth place of short-course off-road” and the Labor Day event will include TORC’s season finale.  Here’s a taste of the action from this year’s fixture, thanks to HeavyMetalConcepts.  Tune in to NBC Sports Network for TV coverage.
