It would just figure that a crazy bunch of Texans steer-headed by Pikes Peak veteran, Dave Carapetyan thinks they can beat the overall record. Well, Texas is bigger than Japan and New Zealand combined? Doesn’t that count for something? Rumor has it that they set up a blog at Rally Ready to get sponsors and let the world know they are serious – serious to break the 10 minute barrier at Pikes Peak. Dave – you know that’s a tall order?

Currently, the Open Wheel division record was set in 1994 by Robby Unser with a time of 10:05.85. The overall fastest time is 10:01.408 by Japan’s “Monster” Tajima in an insane 1,000-hp Suzuki XL7. How’s a team of Texans going to best them?

Somehow, I think that Dave’s got a shot –  Okay, so Dave- let us tell your story at My Life at Speed!  Send me an email, let’s see what we can do to get this thing ramped up! GT.
