Round two was a wet one.  Track conditions were extra slick and by the end of the day the power alley had almost turned into a lake. These conditions didn’t seems to phase anyone and the driving levels were still high. Some of the drivers were using the slower speeds and slick conditions to hold their slides a little big longer.  At one point, the rains started to let up and the track might dry for the finals.[/dropcap]img_3741

That didn’t last long and the rain came back in full force. Coming off the bank seemed to be the trickiest spot. As the rain continued, Corner 1 started to collect water making things interesting for the drivers trying to get a podium spot.  Joseph Lin in his Gray S13 gives you an idea of how much water was sitting off corner one. Joseph had a solid day finishing 5th grassroots.img_2375

The Boss Innovations 2JZ powered S13 driven by Chris Goldie-Wells was looking very good all day. Chris is definitely not shy in the rain taking high lines and getting a lot of angle. His efforts gave him a 1st place finish in grassroots.  Another driver not afraid of the rain was none other then André Escalante.  André finished 4th place in Pro Am.  As the day wrapped up we were left with top 3 finishers for grassroots and Pro Am.
