Pacific Grand Prix is known for being the best karting track in the Northwest (2009 best guys weekend destination)… However, PGP is also known for running other forms of racing, Drifting, Super Moto, Moped, lap attack to name a few.   The “Biggerfoot Bash” was one of the latest drifting events that PGP had to offer. With 30 top drifters invited to the Second Annual Bigfoot Bash, this was a sight to behold.DSC_9060 (Custom)

Drivers from Washington, Oregon, Canada and California were all in attendance.  As most drift cars are “thought” to be Nissan 240’s it was nice to see a wide variety to name a few: Corvette Powered RX-7, Lexus SC300, Ford Mustang, Toyota Cressidas and my personal favorite, a 4age powered 1st generation Toyota Celica Coupe!

Weather conditions couldn’t be better; It was a warm sunny September day in the NW as competitors started practice at 11.  Race gas and tires could be smelt in the paddock as cars attacked the 14 turns of PGP.  The event was very informal spectators with special VIP wristbands were allowed into the pits to talk with drivers and even go for ride alongs!  Live music from DJ Dunjin filled the air when there was an intermission between tires screaming, and for those of age… there was beer garden!

With as much excitement as there was for spectators, I was reluctant to find Juli Zalud customer relations and charmed my way onto course.  (Note to self: Media Creds are due 2 weeks in advance, and it’s very select.)  Thank you Juli, my first born will be in the mail shortly…
